How we compare podcast hosts
Platform data compiled June 2026.
Who publishes this site
This site is published and edited by Ausha, a podcast hosting platform. Ausha is one of the 15 platforms compared here. You can learn more on our about page.
What we measure
We compare 15 podcast hosting platforms across 75 features, grouped into 10 categories:
- Hosting: 9 features
- Distribution: 9 features
- Marketing & Growth: 11 features
- Analytics: 15 features
- Monetization: 6 features
- Support & Community: 6 features
- Podcast SEO (PSO): 4 features
- AI Features: 5 features
- Enterprise & Security: 6 features
- Recording & Production: 4 features
For each platform we check whether it supports each feature. Partial or plan-gated support (for example, a feature available only on a higher tier or through an integration) counts toward a platform's coverage, with the caveat shown alongside it. The full, up-to-date comparison is visible on every platform review and on each comparison page.
Ranking calculation
Where we present an ordered ranking, platforms are sorted by feature coverage, the number of the 75 features each platform supports. This is a single, objective count: anyone can re-tally it from the same matrix and reach the same order. We deliberately do not apply hidden weights or subjective scores to the ranking itself.
Metrics we use
Feature coverage measures breadth: how many things a platform can do. It does not measure quality, reliability, ease of use, value for money, or how well any single feature is implemented. A host with fewer features can be the better choice for a given show: a podcaster who only needs simple, affordable hosting may be far happier with a focused platform than with an all-in-one suite. The best host depends on your needs, not on a feature count.
Data sources
Feature data is compiled from each platform's public website, documentation, and pricing pages, supplemented by hands-on review. It was last compiled in June 2026 and is verified periodically, but platforms change their plans and features frequently, so details may be out of date. Always confirm specifics with the platform before making a decision.
